We had a good year last year and look forward to 2013.
Our first outdoor show this year was in Tempe Arizona, which required a long but beautiful road trip along the edge of the rockies, down and around through New Mexico (what can be said about such majestic beauty? Cimarron Canyon, Santa Fe, Taos... wow!) and finally into Tempe itself. The weather was excellent, and Kendra won First Place for Printmaking (Thank you, Tempe Festival of the Arts!). We took a different route home across New Mexico (hoping to avoid unpleasant weather descending over Colorado and Nebraska), got caught up in a sand storm, and at the same time witnessed the true power of nature. We made it back and missed all of the nasty weather somehow, right back to a Minnesota winter.
It's been a long time coming, but spring is finally here, and that means the outdoor art festival season begins in the midwest. Check out the shows I have listed below, and I'll add more soon (trust me, there are plenty already confirmed).
